Posting is hard

I have stuff to say, but it's not super important.

Attempting to get into standard Marvel flavored comic books. Attempt is hard, as there is so much and nowhere to start.

Watched some movies, played some games, did some stuff.
Might type more sometime.

Kinect Day 2

30 minutes of Sculpting Training
30 minutes of Toning Training

If each 2 routine training session is 5 minutes long. That's 6 each. Or, there about.

'Kill your dick? What does that even mean?!'

I stopped playing Bulletstorm for a little while, mostly because there was a MONSTER and I didn't want to have to fight a MONSTER.

Turns out, I get to CONTROL the monster. Robot Godzilla with Lazer beams is mine to command and destroy with! I could have done this weeks ago! I'm so ashamed.

Back to the grind. I was having problems doing the MERCY move, but I finally got it again (shoot them in the crotch, kick them in the head). It's very satisfying.

Kinect Weightloss Challenge

So, I do love my Xbox and its games. This Christmas I got a Kinect for myself and I've been fiddling with it on and off. I've been meaning to use it, intending to exercise with it. Then I spend most of my time forgetting.

My friend Bry (you can find her blog here) is always my source for fitness related jealousy and spurts of motivation (that quickly putter out, mind you). I sent her a list of all the options in Your Shape: Fitness Evolved, all training sessions, all the classes, everything except the silly games. Based on what they targeted and how they worked, she came up with a fitness calender.

I will be working on upper body Monday, Cardio Tuesday, Full body Toning on Wednesday, Yoga on Thursday, Legs on Friday and more Cardio on Saturday with Sunday being my rest/easy exercise day.

Pretty awesome, huh? No more willy-clicking things. Also, Kinect can't tell me that the workout is for people who just had a baby, or men only. Screw it, I'm doing it all. Tony Horton doesn't have a P90x for men only or women only.

So, here we are at Day 1. Unfortunately, today is Mardi Gras and I have Pazcki's to nom. So, my diet isn't very healthy. But, who cares. It's not like I get donut flavored goodness all the time!

I redid my fitness test, since the first time I did it it only gave me Beginner status. I wasn't comfortable with the Kinect or how it worked at that point in time, now with a little experience under my belt, it put me in Advanced.

After that was -

Michelle Bridges Circuit: Athletic Training- 14 minutes
Michelle Bridges Circuit: Get Into Shape- 14 minutes

I also poked at one of the Bollywood classes. I feel like I need a better outfit with more janglies. 4 minutes.

I'm still 200-199 pounds. Turns out I was 206 before I decided to do that carbless week. Scary. At least I got rid of it. :3
I kindof want to get down to 130. GOALS.

I hope!

This is what I ordered on Amazon yesterday. Nando's Peri-Peri hotsauce is supposed to be amazing. And since its not readily available in the US, I had to order it online. I also ordered BLUR, which is kindof like a RL version of Mario Kart, minus the blue shell of death.

I sure hope that anyone who buys the game, gets recommended the hot sauce. It would make my day.

And then... Julia Stiles showed up.

That's right. Screw everything else. I'm watching Dexter Season 5.

And I'm currently reading- Lover Eternal, Roots, The Way of Shadows, Hannibal, and Azure Bonds. While listening to both Cry Wolf and The Graveyard Book. For some reason I just can't settle on one. ALL THE BOOKS.

Lawrence Fishborn can be crazy sometimes.

O my gosh. This movie. What. I don't even know. I can't even express my distaste for fear of spoilers. Let's just say that there was a line, and then this movie crossed it and fell down a hill.
I do like looking at Adrian Brody, so there's a plus.
And there was this guy, who's profile looked like Matt Damon, and then when he came back to front it was as though Matt Damon went through some terrible Photoshop filter.

This movie had the most pussy vampires I have ever seen.
I couldn't tell if Ethan Hawke was trying to channel his inner James Franco or his inner Christian B
ale.
The way to turn vampires back into humans is so far fetched, and crazy.
Despite being utterly strange and full of way too much gore, it kept my attention. I'll give it that much.

Got asked to do a guest page for a comic. This is what I've sketched up so far.

FFFFFFF

-My interweave knits magazine got lost in the mail. I'm not sure where in the world it would be, but it is not here. I got the in-laws on it, since they're the ones that bought it.

-I have to be intensely focused on this potty training thing. So far, we are off to an okay start. Maybe half and half. Oh, problems that none of my friends currently have to deal with!

-Our dryer, it is broke. I called the maintenance guy to fix it. Who knows when that will happen? So, there are currently two loads of laundry spread out on my dining room table and chairs, with the fan on, chillin' and drying.

-My attempts at exercise and not eating carbs are going well. I made tacos for dinner last night and just piled a bowl full of meat, beans and guacamole and chowed on that. Pretty delicious.

-My grandfather, who had been slowly going insane and imagining my grandma having an affair and spider listening devices, was put in the psych ward of the nearest hospital this weekend. They no longer will accept him at the assisted living area, so he's going to be moving into the nursing home next door. That just means my parents get to move my grandparents again, when they've only been where they are for a month.

Weightloss a go go

I'm absolutely terrible at losing weight. I've been trying for a year, and I've just been waffling between the same 5 pounds. I'm tired of it. It's mostly because I have no self control, and cannot buckle down.

Well, here I go trying again. We'll see how long this lasts.

-I will not be eating any carbs this week. I have a lot of snacks and things to eat that are carbless and that I love (babybel cheese, anyone). So hopefully, I will not be tempted into eating anything with carbs.

- I will be exercising, quite a bit. I will be using my Kinect, and a few guides from the web.

Today, I will be:
-doing my initial pushup test for the 100 pushup challenge.
-doing my initial situp test for the 200 situp challenge
-doing my initial squat test for the 200 squat test
-twenty minutes of brisk walking/running
-Kinect Skinny Jean workout
-extra sets of leg exercises

Starting at a weight of approx. 200lbs (this is high, I fluctuate between 200 and 195 constantly).
Wish me luck!

I spend too much time wasting time.

- Finished Dexter Season 4. I found the ending disturbing, and would have it not have been a surprise, and had it explained to me, that despite the order of 'Trinity''s kills, it was the wrong MO, and loose ends were left.
The beginning of the season dragged for me. It took me far too long to get into it, unlike previous seasons. The last four(?)ish episodes were a roller coaster of awesome, though. So I'll give it a B- despite creeper John Lithgow reminding me too much of my dad and that terribly annoying ending.

- The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (movie) was interesting to watch. It had a slow buildup, but delivered in the end. Being Swedish, it lacked a lot of the American expectations from a movie (camera angles, tense music, explosions, super tense revelations). I'm almost uninterested in seeing the American version, because the Swedish version was just so beautiful and different.

- The Girl who played with Fire (movie) didn't actually have any buildup. I was surprised to find myself falling asleep with 22 minutes to go, and the main confrontation upon me. I think it would have been a lot more interesting if Lizbeth's past/family hadn't been involved in the overarching mystery. Not as good as the first one, but still interesting.

- The Karate Kid (remake) was pretty lame, but I do enjoy watching Jackie Chan use random things as weapons (even if he only got one real fight scene in the whole movie and the rest of it was just Mini Will Smith making Will Smith signature faces at the camera and being whiny).

- A Clockwork Orange (book) I forced myself to finish reading this. The prose was just so strange, and lilting, it was really hard to get into. I had to sit down, read a chapter, take a break. Well, it's a classic and it's crossed off my bucket list.

I might learn a new choice phrases.

I feel like a terrible person for loving this game. Picked it up last night. So much fun. Multiplayer is basically stringing combos together in order to kill guys in amusing fashions (there was seriously a giant flower that ate dudes). The campaign so far is a lot of explosions and random azn cyborg men and I'm getting tired of being thrown into situations where I'm -supposed- to lose in order to continue the storyline, it makes me feel inadequate. Thanks game. Still, fun, gory. My inner sadist smiles, and a lot of my frustrations are vented on cg people.

Oh, and after years of fighting. I bought myself an Ipod Classic. I'm like a real person now. Now I can listen to my audiobooks and music without being shackled to the computer. I used to have a 30gig Rio Karma, and would have liked another one but the company doesn't make them anymore and anyone who had one seems to want to hoard it forever and never ever sell it to me. So... 150gig Ipod Classic it is. What in God's name am I going to do with all that space?

Next thing to buy? A pretty skin for it. I was thinking this.
