- Finished Dexter Season 4. I found the ending disturbing, and would have it not have been a surprise, and had it explained to me, that despite the order of 'Trinity''s kills, it was the wrong MO, and loose ends were left.
The beginning of the season dragged for me. It took me far too long to get into it, unlike previous seasons. The last four(?)ish episodes were a roller coaster of awesome, though. So I'll give it a B- despite creeper John Lithgow reminding me too much of my dad and that terribly annoying ending.
- The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (movie) was interesting to watch. It had a slow buildup, but delivered in the end. Being Swedish, it lacked a lot of the American expectations from a movie (camera angles, tense music, explosions, super tense revelations). I'm almost uninterested in seeing the American version, because the Swedish version was just so beautiful and different.
- The Girl who played with Fire (movie) didn't actually have any buildup. I was surprised to find myself falling asleep with 22 minutes to go, and the main confrontation upon me. I think it would have been a lot more interesting if Lizbeth's past/family hadn't been involved in the overarching mystery. Not as good as the first one, but still interesting.
- The Karate Kid (remake) was pretty lame, but I do enjoy watching Jackie Chan use random things as weapons (even if he only got one real fight scene in the whole movie and the rest of it was just Mini Will Smith making Will Smith signature faces at the camera and being whiny).
- A Clockwork Orange (book) I forced myself to finish reading this. The prose was just so strange, and lilting, it was really hard to get into. I had to sit down, read a chapter, take a break. Well, it's a classic and it's crossed off my bucket list.
